Really amazing music, they put on an incredible show at Outside Lands… I checked their website and no New York stops, but there is always Paris for thanksgiving. yeah, good idea.

Just got back from SF and scrolling through all my emails, I came across this link for a map that locates solar panels on roof tops in san francisco. It must be a growing industry, I met two people over the weekend who install solar panels and saw an ad in the paper needing people to install. Nyc needs to get with it.
Ahhh, I miss the fresh air and fantastic hill-top views. pics to come when i refresh the ol’ camera battery
yay- she’s back from vacay!
Beautiful concept! Shipping via sailboat makes sense and is a great idea for many items, in this case - wine from France to Ireland. The shipping company CTMV (Compagnie de Transport Maritime a la Voile) estimates the carbon dioxide emissions to be seven times less than a container ship plying the same route. Look for the ‘Carried by sailing ship’ label on bottles… I wonder if you could travel on the boats for free if you helped crew the sails (or clean the heads).
Oh, totally. Bring ‘em to the stores in Brooklyn for me, please.
“A standard wine bottle holds 750 milliliters of wine and generates about 5.2 pounds of carbon-dioxide emissions when it travels from a vineyard in California to a store in New York. A 3-liter box generates about half the emissions per 750 milliliters. Switching to wine in a box for the 97 percent of wines that are made to be consumed within a year would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about two million tons, or the equivalent of retiring 400,000 cars.” GOOD to know!
